Padel Point Tracker
Support
Padel Point Tracker is a scoreboard for iPhone with a companion Apple Watch app. Most of it is one gesture, so there is not much to go wrong — but if something has, start here.
Common questions
How do I score a point?
Tap the left half of the screen and the left pair wins the rally. Tap the right half and the right pair does. That is the whole interaction — there are no buttons to find and nothing to confirm.
What are the Apple Watch gestures?
One tap scores for the left pair, two taps for the right pair, and three taps undo the last point.
Anywhere on the Watch screen counts, so a palm or the edge of your hand works while you are still holding a racket.
The score is not being read out loud
Work through these in order:
- Check that Speak the score is switched on in the app's Settings.
- Turn the volume up with the side buttons — the readout uses the media volume, not the ringer volume.
- Take the iPhone off silent, and make sure Focus or Do Not Disturb is not silencing media.
- If the phone is connected to a Bluetooth speaker or car system, the audio is going there. Disconnect it or move the speaker closer to the court.
Can I keep the iPhone in my bag and score from the Watch?
Yes — that is what it is built for. The iPhone keeps speaking the score while it is in your bag or pocket, so you can score from the Watch and still hear the call on court. The iPhone does need to stay within Bluetooth range of the Watch, and the app has to have been opened at least once in that session.
What exactly does it say?
Only the score in the current game — "fifteen–thirty", "deuce", "advantage" and the team name. It never reads out a running tally of games and sets, because that takes longer than the gap between two rallies. When a game, set or match is won it says so.
I tapped the wrong side
Tap the undo button on the iPhone scoreboard, or triple-tap the Apple Watch. Undo steps back through the match point by point, including across a game or set boundary.
Can I play golden point instead of advantage?
Yes. In Settings, switch the rules from advantage to golden point — at 40–40 the next rally takes the game. You can also choose best of three or best of five sets. Tie-breaks are played at six games all.
Does the screen switch off between rallies?
No. The scoreboard keeps the display awake for as long as a match is in progress, so you can stand the phone at the side of the court and read it from the far end. Because of that, use a charger for long sessions.
Can I name the teams?
Yes — set both names in Settings, or leave them as Team A and Team B. The names are used in the call-out, so "advantage Sofia and Alex" is announced rather than "advantage right".
Does it work for tennis?
Yes. The scoring is the same, so the app works for tennis without any changes. It is designed around padel, which is why the court clock and the two-pair layout are the defaults.
How do I install the Apple Watch app?
You do not have to. The Watch app is bundled with the iPhone app and installs automatically on a paired Apple Watch. If it does not appear, open the Watch app on your iPhone, scroll to Padel Point Tracker and switch on "Show App on Apple Watch".
Is any of my data collected?
No. The app makes no network connections at all — there are no accounts, no analytics and no advertising. See the privacy policy for the full statement.
Quick reference
iPhone — tap left half: point to the left pair. Tap right half: point to the right pair. Undo, settings and new match sit in the pill at the bottom of the screen.
Apple Watch — one tap: left pair. Two taps: right pair. Three taps: undo.
Scoring — 15, 30, 40, deuce and advantage, or golden point. Six games with two clear to take a set, tie-break at six all, best of three or best of five.
